Lean Certification provides benefits to both employer and employee. AMC's Lean Certification is from AMC, a recognised authority on lean training and consultancy.

AMC's Lean Certification provides for either or both a GREEN BELT Lean Certificate and a BLACK BELT Lean Certificate.

LEAN BLACK BELT

1. READING REQUIREMENT
Complete the required AMC Lean Reading list

2. EXAM REQUIREMENT
Pass the AMC Certification Examination

3. KAIZEN REQUIREMENT
Complete 12 Kaizen Projects utilizing at least 8 or more Tools

• a. Participated in at least 2 Kaizen as an Attendee of the Kaizen
• b. Participated in at least 2 Kaizen as a Team Leader of the Kaizen
• c. Participated in at least 6 Kaizen as a Facilitator
  • i. Must prepare and submit 6 separate training modules for different types of Kaizen events
  • ii. Must facilitate at least one Value Stream Mapping Kaizen for Senior Management
  • iii. Must facilitate at least one Policy Deployment Kaizen for the Operations Group
  • iv. Must facilitate at least one OEE Improvement Kaizen
  • v. Facilitator presentation skills will be evaluated in 3 of the Kaizen training sessions

4. MENTORING REQUIREMENTS
Mentor 4 or more Green Belts to Certification

5. Make a "results" oriented presentation on Lean results at your factory

Approximate time to complete: 9 to 12 months (maximum time allowed is 15 months)

LEAN GREEN BELT

1. READING REQUIREMENT
Complete a portion of the AMC Lean Black Belt AMC Lean Reading List

2. EXAM REQUIREMENT
Pass a subset of the AMC Lean exam designated for Green Belt level

3. KAIZEN REQUIREMENT
Complete 4 Kaizen Projects utilizing lean tools useful in their area of their factory/work environment

• a. Participated in at least 1 Kaizen as an attendee
  • i. Each kaizen must be in a different focus from the other
• b. Participated in at least 2 Kaizen as a Team Leader
  • i. Green Belt trainee can select the type

4. CREATION AND PRESENTATION OF PLAN
Make a "results" oriented plan for his/her related area of day-to-day work
